Virginia
Kelly is a dancer from Argentina, specialized in Tango. She
has studied with the very best Tango dancers in her hometown
of Buenos Aires. Among them were the world renowned Dinzels
for whom she eventually taught. She has studied many other dance
styles including ballet, jazz, tap, tango, ballroom, latin, swing,
Argentine folklore, flamenco and belly dancing. Virginia studied
theatre for five years and voice for eight years, partly with
Manuel Gonzales Gil, Argentina's greatest producer of Musicals.
A former champion of International dance competitions in Latin America,
Virginia Kelly has performed at the Annual International
Cinema Festival at the 5 star luxury Costa Galana Hotel on
the Mar del Plata Coast in Argentina. She was also a cast member
of "Viva Tango", Mar del Plata's hit Tango Musical.
In the US, she participated in "Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre",
"Tango y Vida", and "Cuartetango." In
New York, she has performed at Town Hall Theatre,
Natives Theatre, BAM Museum, Societies of Americas, the Argentine
Consulate, Stardust Dance Weekends, La Belle
Epoque, Sosa Borella Tango-Mambo dinner shows, the annual
Tango Congress and the annual Tango Fest. In Boston she has performed
at the Wang Theatre, M.I.T. Theatre,
Jose Hernandez Cultural Center, "Boston
First Night" (appearing in Boston TV and news) and The
Tango Society of Boston.
She
has taught in New York City for 5 years including at Dancesport,
Champions, Fazil's Studios and the New Life Resource Center, among
others. As a guest lecturer, teacher, and performer she has been
a guest of the "Arts in Education"
program, the State University of New York at Albany, the Sunny Rockland
Community College, the Canisius College, the Hamilton College Spanish
Club, the Teatro Si theatre in New Jersey and the Monroe Cultural
Arts Commission's Jersey Shore Arts Center.

and "Calendar of Activities of MDP" in Argentina, "Time
Off", "Suburban" and "Press" in the US.
Her television appearances include MDP TV, Argentina, Univision,
NJ, and FOX, ABC,

and totango.net.
In
Argentina she produced and managed performances at resort and dinner
show venues. In New York City she is currently collaborating with
musicians, singers and dancers, coordinating projects for production
and performing companies. Virginia actively teaches and coaches
students and professional dancers. Performance tours have recently
taken her all along the East Coast, with shows in New York, Massachusetts,
Connecticut, New Jersey, Vermont, Maine, and Pennsylvania.
